I have been Head of Sales 5 times at early-stage startups. I have personally interviewed thousands of AEs and hired hundreds of them. As a Sales Leadership consultant, I have taken founders from $0 to $1M in sales.
That experience is the product. I know which sales hires work at this stage and which ones look fine on paper and fail in the first 90 days.
I coach the founder to get ready for Sales. Then I run the search. I evaluate every candidate against a stage-fit rubric. I stay involved through year one.
